The Republic of Armenia’s Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry present: NerUzh 2.0 Diaspora Startup Program
NerUzh (an Armenian word for “potential”: a total sum of qualities and abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness) is a Govenrment Programme aiming at enriching and diversifying the Armenian startup ecosystem by promoting the inflow of innovative, capable and scalable tech startups from the Armenian diaspora, absorbing and investing on their advancement and growth within the Armenian startup ecosystem, and lastly, serving as a gateway for deploying and scaling-up impactful Armenian technologies and business models throughout the world markets using the leverage of significant presence and deep connections of Armenia Diaspora in the leading tech hubs of the world.
This year, Neruzh will host 50 startups from 14 countries around the world. Participating startups from the diaspora will not only learn about the benefits of doing business in Armenia, but also be given the chance to collaborate, receive exclusive individual mentorship and coaching, and compete for the chance to win $15-30,000 worth of grants to grow their ventures. The goal of the program is to promote repatriation, encourage innovation, and support Armenia’s startup ecosystem.
